Yes to off season!! Much of Italy never really has terrible weather anyway. It's one thing if you really want a beach trip, but so much of the country is beautiful year-round!

Agreed! And I would rather sight see and your around when it’s a bit cooler anyway. Far more enjoyable than sweating buckets in crowds! 😅

Huzzah for recommending offseason and off hours! Keep spreading that news; it’s such a help to both residents trying to live life in what becomes a swirling tourist hurricane and tourists as well. 🌀 Great tips! PS bruschetta can even be just grilled bread with olive oil and salt. Welcome home!

Thank you!! I’m definitely a crowd-avoider, so I thought we would be fine in April/May. The number of people already there was shocking!🤯 (And yes, I know I’m part of the problem.🥲)

This year is SHOCKING. Tourist numbers are already up 20% (!) in Italy compared to last year. So interesting to read your experience. Thank you for sharing!

I heard somewhere Rome is the number 1 destination in the world. Not sure how those facts are measured but it’s not tough to believe.
